Situated near Purulia, Charida is a small hamlet lying in the shadows of the beautiful Ajodhya Hills. Hundreds of families in 'Mukhosh Gram' have been making these Chhau masks for generations.

Kharad Weavers of Gujarat
Kharad weaving is a traditional weaving technique that originated in Kutch, a district in the Western state of Gujarat, India. It’s an ancient handwoven carpet making tradition that is approximately over 700 years old.
Shree Tejsi bhai and his son Samat Ji are renowned Kharad weavers from Kutch, Gujarat, India. They belong to a family of weavers who have been practicing the craft of Kharad weaving for generations. They are one of the last few families left practicing this age old weaving technique in India.
Coconut Artist of Kolkata
A local artisan living in the outskirts of Kolkata creates these functional works of art from the wastes of Coconut, including its coir and shell.
